First, I’d like to start by apologizing for the little hiatus. I’ve been traveling for work for pretty much the past month straight, and realized that it’s kind of difficult to manage a blog while working so much. Hopefully from this point on I can be more consistent again. :)
That said, I came home last night to a fairly empty fridge. My fiancé works in town, but is just as busy if not more. This morning I decided to use the fruit that was on its way out to create a healthy smoothie. Has anyone else been paid a visit from the travel fairies that whisper sweet nothings of fast food and late-night snacks in one’s ears?! Indeed, I was in need of something my body would thank me for. Alas, the berry superfood smoothie.
strawberries – 3 big ones
blueberries – about 1/4 cup
nutritious granola – I used hemp & flax
scoop of superfood powder
After tasting the smoothie, I would recommend adding a little agave nectar or honey prior to blending to help sweeten it up. Enjoy :)
